Heart felt singing
It’s your feelings, your sound, your relationship with you and you and how you bring that to the world.
We search for uniqueness and here it is. Only you sound like you. I love working with people to release that unique voice. I love the courage it takes to truly sing your own being rather than imitate anyone else’s singing. I love the creativity I hear as that voice soars.
I will go as far as to say I have never worked with anyone who did not create their own songs in our sessions together. The body is the container for the voice, so try this simple voice exercise I call Breathe and Receive, breathing with your mouth open. Stand with your feet apart and become aware of the soles of your feet meeting the ground. Rest in that feeling as you breathe. Now place your hands on your belly and breathe. Let your breath become deeper, breathing into your hands.
Let the sound of your breathing rise inside and out like a wave moving in and out to the shore. Receive the sound of your own breathing. Feel the energising quality of that sound. It’s a great way to welcome ourselves and remember we’re awake and alive.
